Thank you to all Players who attended Event Horizon Session #20.

New Mombasa Classic is a good "New Mombasa Map" providing excellent Game Play with 16 Players. New Mombasa Classic is best Played on CTF, (Note: Assault variant is preferable) but equally Slayer offers great Game Play too. Although both are supported, Race is Poor with KOTH fairing only marginally better. :o

This particular Event was particularly popular because the New Mombasa Maps are well known. Personally I enjoyed playing New Mombasa Classic, and can say that overall it was a fun session (lasting well over the time limit), but the H2 New Mombasa version, (currently Hosted on Outaworld Server) definitely in many ways is far superior. :P

Assault was fun!

I was very sad to find that it was classic and not H2 Mombasa though =/

The only reason why they've picked it, was, that H2 was in a mapcycle.. But it wasn't bad anyway. But it's only good for CTF though.

So, to get it right, can EH only contain unused maps?

GG all.

Basically Event Horizon is either for Maps which, (for decent Game Play) demand a Minimum 12+ Players, (so don't work well in a Map Cycle) and/or Maps which can't otherwise, (usually for some Technical reason) be Hosted in a Map Cycle. So the only way these types of Maps can be Played is to Host them as an event. ;)
