Thank you to all Players who attended Event Horizon Session #35.

Firstly a big apology goes to those Players who Downloaded Desert Assault and joined Event Horizon Server only to find out that the Map couldn't be Hosted on Fakeworld Server. Eventually the real reason why it wouldn't load was discovered, but by then the Session Time had expired.

For some bizarre and unfathomable reason the Creator of Desert Assault Map decided not to use a normal Space Character in the Map Name, and instead chose to insert a Non Printable Character, (resembling a Space) but which is Non Type-able. Of course there was no Documentation to explain this......

Fortunately an enormous THANK YOU goes to sehé°° who, (an Hour later than Advertised) generously Hosted the Session for Realworld Guild on sehé°°'s Own Dedicated Server and was able to rescue the Event. Luckily sehé°° was able to Enter this Character.

Desert Assault supports all Game Types and has Generic Weapons.

Although not a particularly large Map, Desert Assault can be played with 16 Players, (but also can be played completely satisfactorily with far less Players) and most Game Types work very well. CTF variants and KOTH are good, (as also are Variants of Slayer) and Race works well too.

Because of the problem associated with typing the Name, I would not attempt to Host Desert Assault again.

I remember now testing this map last summer for the Sunburner server which failed due to this special character which looks like a normal space, pure confusion.

If some Bright Spark can Fix the Map "Name Problem" and Externally/Internally Rename the Map to desert_assault, (Space in a Map Name always sucks) then we'll Upload the Fixed Version to our Map Site and we can give the Renamed Map a Session. :P
